Second to the US, South Korea is creating some of the most exciting movies, TV shows and music (though it may be POP but works nevertheless) right now. And I have seen different foreign movies and TV shows (French, Japanese, Italians, etc), with subtitles of course, unless they’re British or Australian, so I have a lot to compare them to. Writing is a very solitary and lonely activity, so doing it in a cafe makes it more fun, but usually this is only good when brainstorming, outlining, and writing the first rough draft, but once that is done, then the rewriting has to be done in a place where there is no distractions and less noise since that’s where the real writing begins. For those other writings, I even listen to music while I do them, but once I do the rewriting, I take the music out and keep the noises down. Writing becomes more focused and detail-oriented. And this, I’ve learned after so many, I’ll say, years of trial and error. And I just wish I’ve learned this long time ago.
