One of the American Idol is a Filipina who lives in Hayward, Filipinotown, which is just a bridge across from the town I live in (Redwood City). I have not watched the American Idol, but I heard that she is pretty good and that is not just coming from my Filipino friends. All those karaoke singing at Filipino households do pay off, LOL.
